| One of the coolest things about performance art is it comes from a place deep inside the artist that quite possibly only he/she can understand. It goes outside of the normal defined "shows" like music or art or theater and starts from scratch. It´s a performance. It´s a statement. It´s whatever the artist wants it to be. The rest comes in the way the artist tries to communicate with his/her public. This is the case with Tranqui Yanqui. We don´t really understand what he´s trying to do, (does he really want us to?) but we like it nonetheless. READ MORE |

| It seems like every week there’s a new gallery opening, show or even museum highlighting the work of Argentina’s very eclectic mix of street artists, illustrators or designers. Just a year ago, this was hardly the case; but something’s been brewing (for some time now) in the world of underground street art and it seems the city is catching on, and fast. With the first part of an on-going investigation, we’re bringing you (just) a sliver of what all the hype seems to be about: talented artists from around Argentina with thoughts about their art, their influences, thoughts on an art ‘movement’, and of course, some general ramblings. | Gaby Kerpel is one of our favorite musicians. The first time we saw him back in 2005 in La Trastienda was fascinating. Axel K had raved about his audio-visual show, we met Juana Molina that night and there was magic in the air. Years later who would know we would start working with him, take him to SXSW and put out an album of his all under the name of his newest project, King Coya (coming soon). READ MORE |
