Mariano Caloso and Diego Irasusta first met in the early 90’s while hanging around the Buenos Aires underground music scene just as simple spectators. They got into djing and they were soon encouraged by friends to start playing professionally. They made their debut in 1999 in a party called Escuela De Vuelo hosted by Argentine electronic combo Agencia De Viajes (Leo García, Gustavo Lamas, Dany Nijensohn, Dj JJ and Alejandro Ros), in the mythical club Morocco.
They developed their style while playing the underground club circuit. Now, they always spin back-to-back+ microphone and they know no limits and have no prejudices. They play an eclectic mix of styles such as neo trance, techno, house, acid and techno pop. They have been resident djs at Bum Bum Club, Boquitas Pintadas, Faena Hotel, CremeDeLaCreme and currently at Compass Niceto. They have also played in clubs such as Brandon, Garage, Shamrock, Rudamacho, Divas&Divos, Le Click, Crobar, Alsina, Club Minimo, Podestá, Masivaa and Bahrein. They have lined up for some of the most important Argentine electronic festivals such as Creamfields 2005, Festival BUE 04, Personal Fest 04 and 05, Buen Día 2003, OneDotZero 2007, Vendimia Electrónica Mendoza, Nuevo Pop in Obras, Usina Electrónica II Córdoba and Cosquin Electrorock 05 Córdoba. They have played along side the likes of DJ Tobias Thomas (Ger), DJ Erik D Clark (Ger), DJ Matias Aguayo (Ger), Closer Musik (Ger), Dj Koze (Ger), Miss Dinky (USA), Donna Regina (Ger), Erlend Oye (Norway), Pita / Mego Records (Austria) and Woody McBride (USA).
In 2002, they started to make music and produce their debut album titled Versatil?, which was released on the Secsy Discos label and mixed and mastered by Gabriel Lucena from Argentinean band Entre Rios. 11 tracks they describe as songs with a dance beat and pop sensibility, including the underground club hits “Perfecto Radar”, “Welcome To The Chongo” and “Dios En la Disco”.
They began to play live sets in 2004 to promote their debut album, Mariano on vocals and Diego on laptop and synthesizers. They have played venues such as Ciclo Nuevo C.C.G.S.M, La Trastienda, Niceto Club, Goethe Institute, El Teatro, Club Bizarre (Chile), Personal Fest 05, Palermo Art Hotel and Otra Ronda (Uruguay), La Berenjena (Chile), and they were support act for pop band Miranda!
These days they are finishing their second album titled “Marcha” which will be released in early 2008 on the Argentine label Indice Virgen. As an advance, two of their tracks will be included on the sampler Indice Virgen – Presente, celebrating 10 years of the prestigious label.
