Why did WUBA want to talk to Animal Collective? Because we´re into people who are thinking big, pushing the limits between reality and art, and quite frankly we f.ing love what they are doing.
Six years ago when I first started listening to Animal Collective, I would have never imagined them this way. Taking turns between poignantly answering questions and staring contentedly off into space, I felt almost guilty asking logistical questions about the music. Yet after a few beers, I discovered a group of celestial dudes tied between their fantastic auditory play land and commercially successful musicians. A far cry from their rambunctious and playful sounds, Avey Tare, Panda Bear and Geologist are pretty down to earth... comparatively speaking.
