Points that are enlarged to become circles, lines widened without end. In a reality full of hyper real and 3D images the Punto y Raya Fest (Point & Line), organized by the MAD group based in Madrid and Paris, tries to make us think again about modes of representation and shows us as that when we return to the basics we can detonate the same sense of limits in audiovisual discourse. Just watch the trailer with works chosen for the 2005 edition to take an idea of what we will see in this issue.

The work of the festival and past work that were part of the Official Competition can be seen in the Telefonica Foundation (Arenales 1540, Tuesday to Sunday) from March 11 until April 30, from 2pm to 8pm in 4 modules of 50 minutes.
These programs includes, among many others, the work of Piero Glina, Freedom of Perception which is based on a phrase from Paul Virilio (¨When you are talking about freedom of speech, you also have to talk about freedom of perception.¨), and reminds us of much of the work of strobe lights.

Another interesting work to see is the one by Aleksandra Dulic and Kenneth Newby where their circles seem to be inspired by the wave´s movement generated by drops falling on stagnant water.

Bagatelle 1 is the first part of an audiovisual work that consists of 4 parts in which Lou Cohen conducted the images and the music, playing with the idea of a sun and its possible variables.
In Fleshtones, Philip Sanderson surprises us with a conceptual work long-term, taking skin tones from different webcams from several porn sites and transforms them into piano music through a MIDI interface, with visceral raw materials plunges us into a world of harmony and contemplation.
Iconish fills us with a beautiful and harmonious order in the video called Raindrops.
Pure plain poetry to contemplate and relax in Telefonica Foundation!
