Last week the mythical band Sexteto Irreal made a surprise appearance in the city.  I was lucky enough to see a flyer the day before on Facebook, emailed the radio station that was throwing the event, and won tickets.  Later, once again on Facebook, I found Patwasi posting some photos.  One thing led to another and now Patwasi and I present to you that magical night in pictures and words.

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t completely in love with Sexteto Irreal.  The band’s musicians are some of the best in the country, if not the world. Their music can only be described as a cosmic jam session featuring sonic journeys into other realms.  That’s as far as I’ll go trying to describe what they do.  It’s music at its most beautiful and moving.

From what I saw, the band, who haven’t graced public stages in quite some time, was really into it, having fun, grooving like they do when all 5 of them get it.  Hopefully this magical evening will be followed by future presentations, and if they do, rest assured WUBA will let you know about it.  Check out all the photos here
