Not to toot our own horns, but 2012 is a year of new things for us: we relaunched the website with a few new sections, we helped plan shows for Skrillex and Bassnectar, we were picked up by the AdVICE Network as a cultural representative of Argentina. But what we are most excited about is the release of our first print edition of the website, available now in newsstands all over the city.

When we were contacted by Javi Gover of Wicked Magazine to share the newest edition of the magazine, saying yes was a no brainer, and choosing the cover was even simpler. We envisioned something classic, simple, and indisputably beautiful. We imagined something elegant like a Vogue cover, the ones with a dozen of Hollywood’s most beautiful and talented women sprayed across the cover.

It is no coincidence that some of the most interesting musical projects last year were led by strong females making their mark on the local folk scene, all aiding the evolution of the genre in their own distinct ways.

They are Sofía Viola, Alejandra Ortiz of Lulacruza, Paloma del Cerro and La Yegros. We asked them to join us one summer afternoon in the Bosques de Palermo, where we were all treated to an impromptu session that transported us straight into a page of The Oddysey. These four women meshed so perfectly, hypnotizing us all into silence, mouths wide open. We will gladly shipwreck on their island any time.

The magazine can be found in newsstands across the city. We want to send a big thank you to everyone that helped in its creation.
